2, Training objective
To Train Physicians - Scientists with adequate medical ethics, basic scientific knowledge and strong medical knowledge, who have basic knowledge and skill in Clinical and community, combine modern medicine with traditional medicine, have the vision and capacity for scientific research, have the ability to access and apply the achievements of medical science in protection and take care of people's health.

Part II: The standard output of education program
1. Knowledge and professional competence
1.1. Knowledge
Graduates of the training program have specialized theoretical knowledge in the field of training; firmly grasp the technical and practical knowledge to handle complex tasks; Gains basic knowledge of basic principles, natural and social laws in the field of training to develop new knowledge and can continue to study at a higher level; Having knowledge of management, administration, legal knowledge and environmental protection related to the field of training; have specific knowledge and professional capacity as follows:
1.1.1. general knowledge
- Applying the knowledge of ideas and revolutionary ethics of Communist Party of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh Thought in public health care.
- Applying the knowledge of information technology in patient service and scientific research;
- Applying knowledge of foreign languages in communication and professional field.
- Having Ability to self-train and guide the community to improve health,
- Have knowledge about defense and security issues and consciously willing to protect country and national security.
- Having Ability to use basic English with listening, speaking, reading and writing skills which is equivalent to level 3 in 6 levels of foreign language ability for Vietnam.
1.1.2. The knowledge by field
Having basic knowledge about the natural sciences such as mathematics, probability statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, environment ..., response requirements for career development and creativity.
1.1.3. the knowledge by branch
- Having the core knowledge of health science and the correlations between health and natural/social environment factors;
- Having basic knowledge about biology, medicine, pharmacy and the impact on human health and disease.
- Having Knowledge of modern medicine and technology to approach the application and creative participation in the field of health science.
1.1.4. The group-based knowledge
- Having general knowledge of general anatomy, microscopic anatomy of the human body;
- Having a deep understanding of the structure and function of the organs in the human body in normal condition and pathological condition;
- Evaluating the change in body states in normal and pathological conditions;
- Using basic knowledge for application in diagnosis, treatment and take care of patient’s health.
1.1.5. The specialized knowledge
- Applying basic knowledge to deeply explain the pathological symptoms of patients;
- Analyzing and synthesizing the symptoms, signs for diagnosing the pathological condition;
- Applying methods and techniques to treat and take care of patients;
- Applying, Synthesizing the knowledge gained to analyze, assess and solve health issues in hospitals and communities.

Having the competence to lead the profession, specialized have been trained; having Initiatives in the course of performing assigned tasks; having ability self-oriented, adapting with different working environments; having ability self-learning, accumulation of knowledge and experience to improve professional qualifications; having ability to make a conclusion on common professional issues and some complex technical issues; Having the competence in planning, coordinating, promoting collective intelligence. Having the competence to Evaluate and improve professional activities at the moderate level.

- Having skills to complete complex work requiring the application of theoretical and practical knowledge of the specialized trained in different contexts; having skills to analysis, synthesis, evaluation of data and information, synthesis collective comments and use of new achievements in science and technology to solve real or abstract problems in the trained field; having the competence of professional guidance to handle local and regional scale issues.
- Detecting pathological symptoms and health problems;
- Indicating and analyzing the results of the tests and basic functional probe technical ;
- Diagnosis of some common diseases;
- Solving some diseases and common emergency situations.

- Assessment and analysis of health problems;
- Proposing solutions and solve health problems.

Having specialized language skills that can understand the main ideas of a report or a presentation on familiar topics in work related to the trained work; can use foreign languages to express and solve some common professional situations; can write reports with simple content, express opinions related to professional work.

- Applying information technology, updating knowledge in the field of occupation; proficient use popular softwares (STATA, EPI-INFO, SPSS ...).

4. Working positions that students can undertake after graduation
Graduted student of General medical education programs can undertake the following tasks:
- At medical examination and treatment facility: directly attend in medical examination, treatment and management of medical facilities in both the public and non-public health systems;
- At preventive medicine facility: directly attend in prevent epidemics and manage preventive medicine facility
- At the training facility: Participating in teaching and training management in universities, colleges, medical secondary schools;
- Research institutes: Researchers in research institutes in the fields of health science, medicine, biomedical, medical technology ...
- The management agency: Be an expert in health management agencies; Employees in governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations.
5. Ability to learn, improve level after graduation
Students after graduation General practitioners can continue to study following the program of training like resident doctors, masters, Doctor of Philosophy, specialist level 1, specialist level 2…
