INTRODUCTION

Vietnam is one of the nations that have the fastest speed of urbanisation. Urbanisation and population growth result in the increase in land use, construction space, job demand, services, utilities and etc. Now, the urbanisation in Vietnam is facing many disadvantages such as strategy - policy making, unsystematical and uninterregional development management, momo-disciplinary development management. Thus, it is essential to change the thinking about management and urban development in order to turn the urban potentials into the motivations for economic development in the context of the industrial revolution 4.0.

The urbanisation requires the high quality human resources with systematical thinking, interdisciplinary approaches in urban development management. The master program in urban development management is an applied interdisciplinary progam that provides learners with essential knowledge and skills for urban development management in such related aspects as policy, enviroment, society, population, planning, architecture, construction and technology

TARGET

  • Regarding knowledge, students will be provided with the modern basic knowledge related to different aspects in urban development management and the profound knowledge about the integrated tools for urban development management.
  • As for skills, students will be supplied with the hard and soft skills according to the output of the program, have the ability to analyse, synthetise, eveluate competently different types of data related to urban development management and use the integrated technologies in order to propose the solutions to problems scientifically.
  • In terms of ability, students can apply the acquired knowledge and skills to the reality in localities, institutions and their working positions. In addition, students can take part in the international projects and forums on urban development management.
