In March 2018, Vietnam Japan University, Vietnam National University will organize an Open lecture with topic "Development of Science and Technology and the Future of Humanity" for all lecturers, staff, students and interested participants.
The lecture will analyze two faces both positive and negative of technology development and its impacts on our past, present and future.
The lecture will be divided into two sessions
Session 1: ‘’Two faces of technology development – Positive and Negative”
Time: 15:00 – 17:00, Friday, March 9th, 2018
Session 2: ‘Where do humans come from and where to go in Digital and Technological age”
Time: 10:00 – 12:00, Wednesday, March 14th, 2018

Nowadays, Utilization of AI (artificial intelligence) progresses furiously and NRI estimates that 49% of the Japanese working population can be replaced by AI, robot in 10 to 20 years. In the life science field, we have entered an era where genetic DNA, which is the basis of life, is able to overwhelm the root of "life" by rewriting technology (genome editing).
How can we survive in the future? What kind of power is there for us? The answer will be revealed at the special lecture titled "Development of Science and Technology and the Future of Humanity" with professor Sachihiko Kataoka.
About Guest Speaker: Sachihiko KATAOKA is Professor of International Relations, Hagoromo International University; Prof. KATAOKA currently is representative of Global Network 21, he also was visiting professor at University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNUHN.
