Seminar on Green Building Action

On its pathway of development, Vietnam is facing many challenges. Firstly, the development process leads to the foreseen insecurity of energy and also resulted in environmental degradation and negative impacts of climate change. Adding to those context, contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nation (SDGs) is the world most important trend. Due to the fast urbanization together with the delay in infrastructure development, the environmental pollution and safe water shortage in Vietnam are also becoming more serious. To clarify the challenges and promote green growth is strongly connected to the contribution to SDGs as well. Improvement of energy efficiency is one of the solutions to energy shortage and reduction of GHGs to contribute for mitigation of the climate change and SDGs.

These contexts show the necessity to promote research programs on green building, to accelerate the implementation of green building, and to increase the ratio of green building project.

Recently, topic of “Promotion of green building action through developing integrated innovative energy and water saving circle in Vietnam” is researched by VJU in order to promote green building in order to support the development and environmental protection goals of Vietnam.

In order to prepare the project, VJU will organized the seminar on “ Green Building Action” as the details:

Purpose: The seminar will provide to experts the good practice obtained in Japan (and the world), share the idea to make green building action more widely promote in Vietnam, and explain a project to promote green building activity accompanied with the attendants.

Time: 15:00  - 17:00, 10th July 2018

Venue: Rm. 606, Vietnam Japan Univeristy - My Dinh Campus, Luu Huu Phuoc str., My Dinh 1, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi

Presenters: The professors and experts from Ritsumeikan University, The University of Tokyo and Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment (ISPONRE).

 

Participants: Leaders and representatives from ministries, departments and individuals working in the field of environment, project management and construction in Vietnam; professors and experts from Vietnam and Japan universities and institutions.
