A seminar on consulting experts and scientists about developing the master program in heritage science at Vietnam National University, Hanoi

In the morning of July 18, 2018, School of Interdisciplinary Studies (SIS) held a seminar on consulting experts and scientists about developing the master program in heritage science at Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Attending the seminar were 20 experts, leaders and scientists in the fields of tangible cultural heritage, material cultural heritage, natural heritage, economics, environment, technology, ... together with the program building team and SIS staffs. The seminar was solemn and meaningful.

Opening the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thi Hong Minh - Dean of School of Interdisciplinary Studies gave a welcome speech. In her speech, the Dean expressed her gratitude to the experts and scientists who were enthusiastic and took the time to attend the seminar on developing the master program in heritage science at Vietnam National University, Hanoi in order to train human resources with systematic thinking and interdisciplinary approach in planning, protecting, preserving and promoting the current heritage values ​​in Vietnam. The Dean also hopes that experts and scientists will continue to work with SIS to develop and implement the training of human resources with systematic thinking and interdisciplinary approach to solve the real problems related to the heritage aspects in Vietnam.

Right after the speech of the Dean, Prof.Dr. Lam Thi My Dung, the representative of the program building team, presented the philosophy, the objectives and the outcome standards of the training program.

Following the presentation by Prof. Lam Thi My Dung, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Hieu - Vice Dean of School of Interdisciplinary Studies presented the training program framework, including 04 pillars of knowledge block with 05 modules.

Following the presentation by the Vice Dean, scientists spent time discussing the philosophy, the objectives and the outcome standards of the program as well as the program curriculum. Such experts as Prof. Dr. Quoc Binh, PhD. Pham Quoc Quan, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thi Hien, Assoc. Prof. Tong Trung Tin, Assoc. Prof. Le Xuan Canh, Assoc. TS. Nguyen Van Huy, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Sy Toan, Assoc. Prof. Bui Van Liem ... have made valuable contributions to the development of the curriculum framework and highly appreciated the preparation of SIS to develop the master program in heritage science with interdisciplinary approach.

Closing the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Hieu expressed his deep thanks to the experts and scientists for spending valuable time attending the seminar and also appreciating their comments on the philosophy, the objectives, the outcome standards and the curriculum content. The Vice Dean also emphasized that SIS would absorb the opinions of experts and scientists to complete the program. After editing the program curriculum as well as the philosophy, the objectives and the outcome standards, SIS would send back the training curriculum to the experts and scientists for further comments.
