International School: Final night of AMaRace 2019 โ€“ Who are the champions?

The final night of AMaRace 2019 was hosted on Saturday, May 18th at Moscow Hall, VP Bank Tower. This event left a strong impression for the audience with outstanding presentations from 7 groups of participants.

With the original idea which was creating a playground combining strength and wisdom – an orientational place, connecting young people sharing the same passion for Marketing, Vietnam National University Hanoi – International School (VNU – IS) along with ISupport Club and Marketing IMC Club organized the first Marketing competition AMaRace – Amazing Marketing Race.

After 2 months with the participants not only from VNU – IS but also other universities in Hanoi including National Economics University Vietnam, Foreign Trade University, Diplomatic Academy Vietnam, VNU – Business School, Academy of Policy and Development, …. AMaRace 2019 had reached its last stage – the goal that all the teams had been waiting for after  overcoming tough challenges in the preliminary round and elimination round.

At the night of the final, once again, all teams showcased their spirit and knowledge of Marketing by representing complete IMC plans accompanied with a teaser video for Yolo brand by VP Bank in front of the judges. Each team was given 17 minutes including 10 minutes for presentation and 7 minutes to answer questions from the board of judges.

The judges commented that the quality of all the presentations had been beyond expectation, the ideas were brilliant and convincing. After a long discussion, the results were as the following:

  • 1st place worth 20 million VND belonged to team HOTUNI (Foreign Trade University) with the campaign “Play Cool Play Cool” targeting “connoisseurs” – people that have distinguished styles and often choose to use foreign products. The components in HOTUNI’s big idea excited the audience, especially the ide of  cooperating with rapper Den Vau for promotional MV, and working with foreign service providers, for example Netflix, Spotify, …
  • 2nd place worth 10 million belonged to team LALA (National Economics University) with the campaign targeting people 25 – 34 years old, single but financially independent or already have a family, helping consumers become better versions of themselves after each day, more modern and wiser in financially decisions.
  • 3rd place belonged to Team Air Conditioner (Foreign Trade University) and team Seekers (VNU – Business School and Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam)
  • Other prizes – Best teaser video belonged to team TRIPLE CHAMP (VNU – IS) who brought a Revolution in payment which would change the consumers’ habits.

AMaRace will be a yearly competition of VNU – IS along with ISupport Club and IMC Marketing Club, continuing the goal of becoming a playground combining challenges for strength and wisdom, to find the most talented future Marketers
