1. Overview

The Master program in Environmental Engineering at Vietnam Japan University (VJU) has the following objectives:

- Equip students with the principles of environmental treatment technologies based on a fundamental knowledge of chemistry, physics, and biology, as well as the procedures and skills to analyze environmental parameters; 

- Equip students with an advanced knowledge of the environment that includes management, evaluation, and forecasting; and skills of designing and controlling environmental treatment units;

- Train students to be independent and creative thinkers, while developing their research abilities in the field of/or related to the environment.

Duration: 24 months

Training Method: Fulltime

Teaching languages: English and Vietnamese

Location: Vietnam Japan University - My Dinh Campus

2. Career Orientation

After graduation, students will have the skills needed to work for government agencies or enterprises, environmental treatment plants or foreign companies, or to become researchers or members of the teaching staff at universities or research institutes. Students would also be able to pursue PhD degrees at top universities in Japan or elsewhere in the world.

8. Admission information 

Admission capacity: 20 students per intake

Admission requirements   

* University graduation in the same, relevant disciplines or closely related disciplines after completing the supplemental courses    

* Working experience requirement: Candidates who graduated in the same or relevant disciplines with GPA ≤ 2.5/4.0 are required to have one year of work experience. Candidates who graduated in closely related disciplines with GPA ≤ 2.5/4.0 are required to have two years of work experience  

* English proficiency requirements:

* For official enrollment: Level 3/6 (IELTS 4.0-4.5) in Vietnamese reference framework for foreign language (Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT) or equivalent.

* After the first year, English proficiency must be at least Level 4/6 (IELTS 5.0-5.5)in Vietnamese reference framework for foreign language (Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT) or equivalent.
