1. Program Overview
- The Master program in Public Policy at VJU will provide students with a solid foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge, modern methodologies, and advanced tools and skills for analysis, evaluation, planning and management of public policies. Students will have the opportunity to study and research under the guidance and direction of professors and senior lecturers from Japan and Vietnam. The training program is based on the calculation of Vietnamese society’s constant need for public policy discipline and the lack of specialized academic programs that meet international standards.
- The program’s content focuses on two main pillars of economics and regional development with a focus on sustainable development and international integration.

2. Career Orientation
After graduation, students will have the skills needed to work in the fields of planning and implementation of public policy as analysts, consultants, implementers, and policy evaluators. They will also be qualified to become academic researchers or members of the teaching staff at research institutes, national or international universities. In addition, they will also be able to work as consultants and coordinators at international organizations or NGOs.

"The Master's Program in Public Policy (MPP) is a two-year program that integrates effectively theory and practice with an aim to formulate a framework for sustainable development. As part of the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary programs under Vietnam Japan University, the MPP prepares students with a deep knowledge and understanding of the complexity and challenges of public policy, its formulation, implementation, and evaluation, with an emphasis on the connection between economies, industries, national and regional developments, and international relations. The program also equips students with a set of analytical tools and essential skills necessary to be more effective policymakers and social leaders who have not only a sustainable vision but also the capacity to find and solve problems, as well as take the lead in achieving this vision. Admission capacity: 20 students per intake
Admission requirements
- University graduation in the same or closely related disciplines with GPA ≥ 2.5/4.0. Candidates who have GPA < 2.8/4.0 are required to have two years of work experience.
- English proficiency requirements:
* For official enrollment: Level 4/6 (IELTS 5.0-5.5) in Vietnamese reference framework for foreign language (Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT) or equivalent.
