Part II: The standard output of education program
1. Knowledge and professional competence
1.1. Knowledge
Graduates of the training program have specialized theoretical knowledge in the field of training; firmly grasp the technical and practical knowledge to handle complex tasks; Gains basic knowledge of basic principles, natural and social laws in the field of training to develop new knowledge and can continue to study at a higher level; Having knowledge of management, administration, legal knowledge and environmental protection related to the field of training; have specific knowledge and professional capacity as follows:
1.1.1. general knowledge
- Having a basic knowledge of the principles of Marxism-Leninism, revolutionary policy of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the thought and morality of Ho Chi Minh and apply that knowledge into life and the care and protection of the people's health;
- Having basic information technology knowledge, can response the requirements of working in the occupation and professional fields;
- Use foreign language fluently in communication and professional
- Having ability to self-train and guide the community to improve health,
- Have knowledge about defense and security issues and consciously willing to protect country and national security.
- Having ability to use basic English with listening, speaking, reading and writing skills which is equivalent to level 3 in 6 levels of foreign language ability for Vietnam.
- Having ability to adapt well to the working environment and social environment with highly global.
1.1.2. The knowledge by field
Having basic knowledge about the natural sciences such as mathematics, probability statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, environment ..., response requirements for career development and creativity.
1.1.3. the knowledge by branch
- Having the core knowledge of health science and the correlations between health and natural/social environment factors;
- Having basic knowledge about biology, medicine, pharmacy and the impact on human health and disease.
- Having Knowledge of modern medicine and technology to approach the application and creative participation in the field of health science.
1.1.4. The group-based knowledge
- Having general knowledge of general anatomy, microscopic anatomy of the human body;
- Having a deep understanding of the structure and function of the organs in the human body in normal condition and pathological condition;
- Having basic knowledge of pharmacology such as pharmaco-chemical, analytical chemistry, bioinformatics ..., create premise to receive the group-based knowledge.
1.1.5. The specialized knowledge
- Students who learnt Pharmacy oriented Science & Technology can master the knowledge of materials used in medicine in pharmaceutical aspects (such as origin, chemical properties, pharmacological effects, treatment application ...) according to national and international standards. ; mastering the skills of drug formulas, drugs, medicine production, medicinal plants and other health care products, testing and quality assurance of pharmaceutical products according to national and international standards; respect, master the theory and apply traditional medicine to the public health care; be able to develop research under the approaches of biotechnology, pharmaco-chemical technology and modern nanotechnology;
- Students who learnt Pharmacy oriented Science & Policy: have extensive knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Organization, knowledge of Pharmacy Policy and health policies related to Pharmacy; master the knowledge and have ability to improve healthy living and disease prevention in the community. Students equipped with the knowledge of modern science in management and administration under the strength of Viet Nam National University, Ha Nọi. Actively and consciously participate in the development policies for public health;
- Students who learnt Pharmaceutical oriented Care Science: having ability to master the use of drug for patient’s health care with major skills such as basic assessment of the patient, identifying issues related to drugs, solving problems related to drugs, identifying the patient care plan related to drugs, providing for patients and health care professionals with counseling and selection of drugs and drug forms. The activities are based on the principle of enhancing efficiency, safety and rationality in the use of drugs, having ability to master information, provide information and health care products to patients and other health care professionals accurately, updated and reliable;
- Be practiced in the modern laboratory, pharmaceutical facilities in the learning process to be able to access to professional practice before graduation;
- Having the knowledge and qualities according to occupational standards are updated to be able to successfully complete the National and International Pharmacy Certification Exams.
1.2. The competence of autonomy and responsibility
Having the competence to lead the profession, specialized have been trained; having Initiatives in the course of performing assigned tasks; having ability self-oriented, adapting with different working environments; having ability self-learning, accumulation of knowledge and experience to improve professional qualifications; having ability to make a conclusion on common professional issues and some complex technical issues; Having the competence in planning, coordinating, promoting collective intelligence. Having the competence to Evaluate and improve professional activities at the moderate level.
2. Skills
2.1. Specialized skills
2.1.1. Occupational skills
- Having skills to complete complex work requiring the application of theoretical and practical knowledge of the specialized trained in different contexts; having skills to analysis, synthesis, evaluation of data and information, synthesis collective comments and use of new achievements in science and technology to solve real or abstract problems in the trained field; having the competence of professional guidance to handle local and regional scale issues.
- Having ability to perform basic skills of a pharmacist. Having ability to recognize and solve problems of pharmaceutical science at the basic level and the new professional situations that arised in the process of performing the task;
- Having good communication skills, information collecting and handling when contact with objects who have demand to use the services of pharmaceutical care and pharmaceutical science and technology;
- Having good cooperating with patients and others in the spirit that patients and community is centered, performing activities to improve the health of patients and the community;
- Practicing resource management, aware of responsibility with the community, the patient and the pharmaceutical industry.
2.1.2. Ability to reason and solve the problems
- Having ability of logical thinking, identifying issues related to pharmaceutical profession, providing solutions and selecting the optimal solution to solve;
- Having systematic thinking in searching for information, thinking analytically, integrating to develop professional knowledge of Pharmacy.
2.1.3. Ability to research and explore knowledge
- Having ablility to design and perform the pharmaceutical researches at the basic level by appropriate methods, presenting results in the form of scientific reports in accordance with national standards and access to international standards, or introduce results to interested objects.
- Having ability to explore, study and participate in research according to the approach of the modern medical science.

Applying the core knowledge of the branch into work to identify problems related to field of pharmaceutical practice.

2.2.5. Communication skills using foreign languages
Having specialized language skills that can understand the main ideas of a report or a presentation on familiar topics in work related to the trained work; can use foreign languages to express and solve some common professional situations; can write reports with simple content, express opinions related to professional work.
2.2.6.The other soft skills
- Using fluently basic office software;
- Applying information technology, updating knowledge in the field of occupation; proficient use popular softwares (STATA, EPI-INFO, SPSS ...).

- Expressing the ethics, moral in the practice of pharmacy and in the study of Medicine – Biology - Pharmacy, good practicing in 12 medical ethics

4. Working positions that students can undertake after graduation
Graduted student of Pharmacy education programs can undertake the following tasks:
- Managers and technical staff in production and business establishments medicine, cosmetic, functional foods and related products;;
- Testing - evaluating the quality of drugs, cosmetics and functional foods in the institute and the testing facilities;
- Managers and specialists in pharmaceutical care at hospitals, pharmaceutical / biochemistry departments of hospitals and other medical facilities;;
- Pharmacists at communication facilities, health service providers facilities and other health facilities;...
- Teachers /researchers at medical, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics schools and other life-related sciences schools;
- Researchers in research organizations of Pharmacy, Food and Cosmetics and related fields;
- Working in the state management fields on Pharmaceuticals, Food and Cosmetics in local and central agencies.
